Introducing "Brush and Breathe"

A New Creative & Therapeutic Workshop Series in Collaboration with Phiona and the Sunflower Art Collective

We’re delighted to announce the launch of Brush and Breathe, a beautiful new partnership between Phiona Hutton and the experienced facilitators Julie Tucker and Rachel Galpin of the Sunflower Art Collective. This collaboration brings together the power of therapeutic practice and creative expression in a safe, supportive and non judgemental space designed to help individuals explore emotions, process grief, reconnect with the inner child, and develop grounding techniques through breathwork and art.

What is "Brush and Breathe"?

Brush and Breathe is a monthly, two-hour workshop held at the calming and inspirational Silver Springs Garden Centre in Titchfield. It is a space where participants are guided through gentle creative and therapeutic interventions, designed to:

Support emotional regulation

Explore feelings and personal experiences

Provide tools for navigating bereavement, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm

Encourage self-reflection and healing through art-making and breathwork

Led with compassion and care, these sessions are tailored for individuals aged 16 and over, welcoming all levels of artistic and emotional experience.

Workshop Details: £25 per person

About Phiona

Creative Counsellor | Breathwork Practitioner | Hypnotherapist

 

Phiona Hutton is a compassionate and intuitive therapist who blends creative counselling, conscious breathwork, and hypnotherapy to support emotional healing, self-expression, and inner calm. With a gentle, person-centred approach, Phiona creates spaces where individuals can reconnect with themselves through both breath and creativity.

In the Brush & Breath Workshop, Phiona weaves together the power of mindful art-making with guided breath practices and relaxation techniques. Her work invites participants to slow down, explore their inner world, and express emotions in a safe, nurturing environment.

Phiona’s practice is rooted in the belief that creativity and breath are natural pathways to healing—and that through gentle presence and play, profound transformation can take place.

About Julie

Artist and Tutor

 

Julie  Tucker is an artist and tutor living in Fareham, Hampshire. She has a background in community arts and has worked with all age groups on many projects. Her passion is Fine Art, particularly oil paint on canvas and she simply adores the genre Impressionism!

Julie taught various art classes at Ashcroft Arts Centre in Fareham for many years. Julie truly believes that art as a medium is incredibly therapeutic and should always be fun and relaxed – it is about empowering individuals to paint and be creative freely without judgement form others.

About Rachel

Artist and Educator

 

Rachel  Galpin is a passionate artist and educator with a love for mixed media, ceramics, and art therapy. She spent many years teaching in further education, specialising in working with individuals with learning disabilities. Her workshops are welcoming, therapeutic spaces where creativity, confidence, and a real sense of achievement can blossom.

Together with Julie, she’s made Sunflower Art Collective at Silver Springs Garden Centre a true success. Their combined expertise and uplifting, supportive energy have created a safe, relaxed environment where everyone feels free to explore, create, and learn new skills.

Rachel’s unique blend of artistic talent, teaching experience, and dedication to therapeutic art continues to inspire and empower people of all ages and abilities.
